Hemu (The last hindu ruler )

King Hemu was the last hindu ruler of Delhi.
He was one of the feudatories of the sur king
"sher shah suri". He was also expert in canon mechanism and horse breads.
When  Sher shah died accidentally  in 1555 at the Kalinger fort, there was no such brave  ruler who could have replaced him . Seeing the weekness of Sur dynasty, Humayun saw it an opportunity to attack on Delhi and re-establish Mughal dynasty in India. So he attacked delhi, defeated the last sur ruler and established Mughal dynasty in Delhi. But he could not celebrate this victory for a long time . It is said that he died accidentally when he fell from stairs of his observatory cum library "Sher Mandal".
At the time of death of Humayun, his minor son Akbar was only 12 years old, and he was living in Kabul under the protection of one of Humayun's General "Bairam Khan".
At this time Hemu saw an opportunity to seize and capture Delhi and establish his ow
-n kingdom in Delhi. He started a campaign to annexe Delhi and fought a battle with the army of Akbar under the command of Bairam Khan which came to be known as
"Second Battle of Panipat". Hemu with his better tactics and strong army was very much confident of his victory and it seems also but nobody knows the course of battle until it is won. The battle was totally in fav-our of Hemu, then only an unknown Soldier released an arrow which pierched the heart of Hemu and he died. As Hemu died the mo-
ral of his army was broken and the battle they were winning was lost and it firmly est-
ablished the Mughal rule in India.
As a message to other rulers who can go
against the Mughal rule, Hemu's head was chopped off and brought to Delhi to showoff that this is the fate of those who tried to reb-
el against the Mughal rule . And the last Hindu rule on Delhi came to an end. Hemu is considered as a martyar in India who tried to free india from foreign rule and sacrificed his life for the same.
